Quality control and strict environmentally friendly practices permeate the entire production process, starting in the tea plantations themselves.  Overall hygiene during processing and packaging is regarded as of critical importance.

Good manufacturing processes and quality systems are followed throughout the whole supply chain and the estate is annually SAGAP accredited.

HACCP principles are being followed in the processing and packaging of the rooibos tea.

All rooibos tea is tested by the Perishable Products Export Control Board of South Africa ( PPECB ).  This ensures consumers' peace of mind that the tea complies with the export standards laid down for the product by South African law. The product is tested for microbiological contamination, foreign matter, chemical residues and several other criteria to ensure that it is suitable for human consumption. Every exported kilogram of rooibos tea is accompanied by the mandatory health , hytosanitory , export and origin certificates.
