Processing

 

Scarification

After being harvested, the sheaves are transported to the processing plant. The needle-like leaves are chopped into 2-4mm lengths.

Fermentation

 

The leaves are fermented, a process which lends the tea its distinctive brick-red color and aroma.

 

Drying Process

 

The tea is sundried for 5-8 hours. Every stage of the processing cycle is carefully monitored on site to ensure premium quality.

 

Collecting Process

 

 

Machines collect the dry tea, which is then stored in bulk bags.
